When a group of mainframers started a part-time mainframe blog 10 years ago, they never imagined it would become a leading website for mainframe industry news. For over a decade, we’ve shared ideas, explored new innovations, and highlighted the voices shaping the future of enterprise IT. As we celebrate 10 years of publishing the world’s mainframe voices, it’s onward and upward!

Milestones

Along the way, Planet Mainframe added partners and new programs, including:

2022: Merged with Planet Db2
2023: Acquired Arcati Navigator and Virtual User Groups
2024: Launched the Influential Mainframers program
2024: Acquired Cheryl Watson’s Tuning Letter
2025: Named #1 mainframe news blog by BlogSpot

Top Articles

Of course, none of this would be possible without the talented writers and thousands of readers who visit the site each month. Planet Mainframe offers more than 900+ articles for you to peruse with users from 15+ countries routinely visiting the site.
