John is an IBM Alumni and retired IBM Distinguished Engineer who is now a senior consultant for Triton Consulting.
John Campbell has worked with Db2 for z/OS for over 40 years and has extensive experience with Db2 systems, databases, and application design. In his 44 years at IBM, John was the magic behind Db2 and so many of the features that the community relies on, including Proqty and Secqty. John’s succeses made the mainframe safe, reliable, performant, and exciting for many.
With a specialization in design for high performance, continuous availability, restart/recovery, and data sharing, his work keeps many major banks and critical systems around the world running. He is one of the foremost authorities in the industry on implementing high-end transaction processing database applications.
