Sujit Neb is a builder, educator, and champion of mainframe modernization. As a Senior Automation Engineer at BMC Software, Sujit has spent more than 14 years helping bridge the gap between legacy mainframe environments and today’s DevOps-driven world.

Based in Pune, India, Sujit is widely recognized for his hands-on contributions to the mainframe community. A 2025 IBM Champion and a two-time Open Mainframe Project Ambassador, he’s known not only for his technical depth but also for his clarity and enthusiasm as an educator. His articles for TechChannel and a growing body of LinkedIn content cover everything from CI/CD on z/OS to containerization, observability, and infrastructure as code. In particular, with his writing, has a unique talent for making the technical accessible.

Sujit’s influence goes far beyond writing. He’s a trusted speaker at industry events including GSE UK and IDUG India, where his sessions focus on real-world implementations of Jenkins pipelines, Python scripting, zCX, zOSCP, and OpenTelemetry. One attendee described his presentations as “the missing link between ambition and execution.”

What sets Sujit apart is his ability to make the complex accessible. Whether mentoring a junior engineer or fielding questions during a live session, he has a knack for simplifying technical challenges without sacrificing depth. His “problem-first” approach to tooling and automation ensures practical results—empowering teams to build scalable, secure, and modern mainframe systems.

Through his work, Sujit helps others not only adopt new practices but also adapt their mindset—seeing the mainframe as a platform for innovation, not limitation.

Planet Mainframe is proud to recognize Sujit Neb as one of our 2025 Influential Mainframers.
