As CEO of a leading mainframe security company, Ángel has made it his mission to demystify mainframe vulnerabilities and equip companies with the knowledge and tools to stay compliant, secure, and resilient. Based in Madrid, Spain, he brings over 30 years of experience to a part of IT that is often overlooked—and potentially high-risk.
Seeing a critical gap in mainframe security training and talent across Europe, Ángel developed the first online training program dedicated to hacking and auditing IBM z/OS systems. His dual-track courses—one for red teams, one for audit teams—have become essential learning for cybersecurity professionals seeking to understand real-world threats and defense strategies for mainframes.

But Ángel didn’t stop there. Recognizing the growing regulatory burden around frameworks like DORA and NIS2, he created Bsecure DataPASS—a remote service that continuously audits and verifies compliance in z/OS LPARs. Several large financial institutions now rely on this solution, particularly those with minimal internal expertise or expensive, underutilized software.
His LinkedIn posts, magazine articles, and multi-part video series (“Audihack”) continue to raise awareness and provoke discussion, tackling everything from insider threats to the persistent myth that mainframes are impenetrable. Ángel’s message is clear: security isn’t just a technical concern; it’s a shared responsibility. For mainframes to thrive, they must continue to evolve.
Through Bsecure, Ángel is not just building a business—he’s building a safer mainframe ecosystem. One where regulation meets innovation, and where tomorrow’s security leaders learn to challenge assumptions today.
