Known to thousands as “Tech Sharmit,” Amit Sharma is a leading online voice in the mainframe space through content creation. His personal mission is to make mainframe and COBOL education accessible, inclusive, and engaging for everyone—from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals looking to sharpen their skills.

As an IBM Champion for Z and former IBM Influencer, Advocate, and Contributor, Amit published more than 2,568 bilingual video tutorials on his YouTube channel, @TechSharmit, during the past three years.
He produces all content in English and Hindi, addressing COBOL, z/OS fundamentals, JCL, VSAM, CICS, DB2, and modern topics like APIs, Zowe, and cloud integration. He also hosted 62 episodes of The Tech Sharmit Podcast, featuring guests from IBM, Broadcom, Microsoft, Google, and Planet Mainframe.
His content reaches viewers in 75+ countries and has surpassed 378,000 views, making Tech Sharmit a trusted, independent educational platform. His Tech Sharmit Digital Course Book in English and Hindi compiles this learning into a free, structured resource, furthering his mission to break down financial and language barriers in tech education.
