Security Month

We trust you’ve appreciated our September series, centered around Db2. Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the pleasure of sharing over 10 fresh, original Db2 articles with our dedicated audience.

Today, we are thrilled to introduce an engaging new theme for PlanetMainframe.com, starting this October. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the inception of Cyber Security Awareness Month, we are embarking on a security-focused journey, bringing you a variety of articles, blogs, and videos designed to enlighten and empower you throughout the entire month.

Since 2004, October has held significance as Cybersecurity Awareness Month,  a dedicated month for the public and private sectors, and tribal communities to work together to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

While esteemed organizations such as the National Cyber Security Division and the non-profit National Cyber Security Alliance will emphasize their overarching theme of “staying safe online,” here at Planet Mainframe, we will delve into the insights of expert technologists as we explore how the realm of IT and Mainframe has dynamically adapted to the ever-evolving landscape of cybersecurity threats and how we can best equip ourselves for the future.

Among the remarkable topics and authors we have lined up for this momentous month are:

  • The Evolution of Cybersecurity. From Cascade to Quantum
  • Mainframe security – Early Warning needed to beat back hackers
  • The CISO’s Dilemma –  Challenges in the Cyber Regulatory Environment
  • Vertali zTrust: Detect Network Activity and Control Traffic to Enhance Cybersecurity and Compliance
  • Who’s in charge? Controlling network traffic to enhance cyber security and compliance
  • Mainframe Trivia, and more!

We invite you to stay tuned for this exhilarating array of content, which commences next Monday, October 1st. We are genuinely excited about the insights, strategies, and knowledge that will be shared during this cybersecurity-focused month.

Thank you for being a part of our community, and we look forward to this enriching journey together.

Warm regards,
