At Planet Mainframe, we are dedicated to growing the mainframe community. Our goal is to empower thought leadership and mentorship. We believe a thriving community is an open space for everyone to share their insights. We strive to be a mainframe haven where you can reimagine the mainframe and explore innovations.
We are happy to share that Planet Mainframe has been a sponsor of the Virtual Db2 User Group since late 2022. You may have spotted our purple planet emblem! On our site, we have also highlighted the benefits of joining the Db2 User Group by encouraging anyone interested to register.
Trevor Eddolls, one of our pioneer contributors, is a much-loved Planet Mainframe thought leader. We are happy to have had this long-standing relationship that has built a great bridge between us and these great user groups that he has done an exceptional job at fostering. We understand the need to keep the conversation going. The ‘big iron thrives’ is an ethos we stand behind. So, we do the work so this can occur. Creating a forum while building bridges with industry leaders is a great strategy and path toward a future where the mainframe does indeed continue to thrive.
Our first partnered event was May 9, 2023, with Trevor Eddolls and his co-host Amanda Hendley. Colin Pearce, a contributor to Planet Mainframe presented How to Define CICS Maintained Data Tables to the Coupling Facility Resource Manager.
We invite you to view this excellent session here:
We hope that you can join us for the upcoming virtual user groups!
