Some fun started with an interesting article from Chris O’Malley on LinkedIn a few months back about chronic mainframe migration strategy.

It got some interest several months ago, and it generated some discussion at Planet Mainframe as well, with some people making up humorous haiku. The best one I saw was in the more forgiving format of tanka:

Mainframes were here and then,
We bought rows of servers, but when
The migration went bad,
And the bosses were mad,
And Mainframes are here again.
