Michael Daubman is the Director of Product Management within Broadcom’s Mainframe Software Division, overseeing the Foundational and Open Solution value stream. His career is marked by leadership in transformation and growth. He specializes in System Z software engineering, product management, enterprise storage, hybrid cloud solutions, and open-source innovation. He champions integrating and operationalizing design thinking and continuous delivery, working closely with clients to develop and execute agile and precise software strategies.
Daubman dedicated nearly two decades to IBM, ascending to senior leadership positions. He led the charge on enterprise infrastructure as a service offering – including IBM Power Systems virtual server on IBM Cloud. He also oversaw various components of the z/VM, Linux on Z, and enterprise storage sectors.
Daubman is driven by the challenge of leading teams that consistently deliver solutions. He embraces an open mainframe and enables clients to harness its unique value throughout their enterprise and into a hybrid cloud environment.
Reflecting on his career, Daubman notes that his foray into IT began with a college co-op position in mainframe security software. “I was extremely fortunate that my first job in IT involved working on mainframe security software as a college co-op,” he shares. “Although my role has shifted, I’ve always been compelled to return to my mainframe origins. The legacy of technology and continual innovation have made mainframe technology unparalleled. I am fortunate to lead teams that build innovative solutions daily, laying the foundation for our clients’ most critical business processes.”
