David Stephens

David Stephens is the Lead Systems Programmer at Longpela Expertise. A hands-on technical geek, he helps clients around the world run their z/OS systems faster, cheaper and better.

David has over 30 years experience in a wide range of mainframe systems areas, including systems programming for government and banking clients, and software development for IBM. Since 2009, David has worked as an independent z/OS systems consultant on projects from designing and developing software solutions to implementing z/OS features like VSAM RLS and CICSPlex. He has also developed mainframe-related training, and is the author of "What On Earth is a Mainframe."
